The Medicinal & Natural Product Chemistry Research Center (MNCRC) was founded in August 2002. The main purpose of MNCRC was to take advantage of the advancements in basic sciences especially chemistry and apply them to medical purposes.
The Center started its activity with five faculty members. This number has now reached 4 full-time and 7 part-time members.

Dr. Ramin Miri won the prize for 17th Razi Medical Sciences Research Festival

April 9, 2012;

Research project entitled “Microwave-assisted solvent-free synthesis of bis (dihydropyrimidinone) benzenes and evaluation of their cytotoxic activity” Performed by a group of researchers at the Medicinal and natural products chemistry research center was ranked the 3rd best project in the group of pharmaceutical sciences at the 14th Razi Medical sciences Festival.
