In the cellular and molecular biology lab, research is conducted in the following fields:

• Anti-Alzheimer effect of synthetic and natural agents using diffrent enzymatic assay
• Anti-tumoral activity of plants and synthetic compounds
• Multidrug resistance (MDR) reversal activity of synthetic compounds
• Biomarkers of oxidative stress in human individuals
• Cyclooxygenase inhibitory activity of synthetic compounds
• Antioxidant activity of plant-derived and synthetic compounds
The cell culture room in the cell and molecular biology lab is equipped with CO2 incubator, several laminar flow hoods, inverted microscope and liquid nitrogen tank. We work with the following cell lines:
Human cancer cells: HL-60, K562, MCF7, LS-180, SKOV-3, MOLT-4, THP-1, A549, HeLa, Jurkat, Raji, Fen
Human non-cancer cells: VERO, MRC-5, NIH 3T3
Neuronal cells: PC12, SH-SY5Y
MDR cells: MES-SA-DX5 and MES-SA
Alzheimer cells: N2a-APPSwe, HEK293-APPSwe, HEK293-APP
